Annette Beard, daughter of Josiah Paul and Nancy Grace Beard, was an "unmarried" aunt, sister to Julian "Lynn" Beard.   Sheryl Annette Beard is named in her honor.

Annette Beard, daughter of Josiah Paul and Nancy Grace Beard, was an "unmarried" aunt, sister to Julian "Lynn" Beard.   Sheryl Annette Beard was named in her honor.

She is mentioned in the 1920 Federal Census Record in Little Levels, Pocahontas, West Virginia, age 5 years, born "abt. 1915".

 

Inscription in gift to Julian Ralph Beard, June 1944.  Gift was book entitled "The World We Live In" by Louis Bromfield, published by Harper & Bros 1944.

The book was passed along to Shawn Robbins (son of Sheryl Annette Beard Robbins) on the occasion of his 21st birthday, in November of 2006.

(Died Dec 7, 1972) Miss Annette Beard - Miss Annette Beard, 58, of Charleston, died Thursday in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long illness.  She was a native of Hillsboro and formerly of Whitesville.  Miss Beard was a member of the Hillsboro Presbyterian Church.  Surviving : sisters, Mrs. Lucille Price of Sylvester, Mrs. Nancy Cooper of Winston Salem, N.C., Mrs. Ann Miller of Shinnston; brother, Paul of Fairfax, VA.  Service will be at 1 p.m. with the Rev. W. Howard Gwinn Jr. officiating.  Burial will be in Adkins Cemetery, Naoma.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. today.
